Carrick Aland marks 70 years of supporting rural Queensland
This year marks a significant milestone for Carrick Aland, as the rural and small business financial specialists celebrate 70 years of serving multiple generations of clients in the region.
Founded in 1953 by Phil Carrick and John Ashmead, Carrick Aland has become a trusted name in the community for its support, knowledge and technology leadership.
With roots as primary production tax experts, the legacy of Phil and John has been passed down through the generations and is now embodied in the entire fabric of Carrick Aland. The firm is a beacon of employment in the Western and Darling Downs, mentoring confident accountants and advisors who contribute to the strength of the region.
“Legislation and tax have changed, and technology has significantly transformed how we and our clients utilise it,” says Director David Johnston. “We’ve grown and specialised and our community involvement has always been at the forefront of our business.”
Carrick Aland is driven by a commitment to delivering excellent service, handed down from generation to generation.
We support business owners at all stages, from start-ups to mature businesses, from helping them manage cash flow to employing their first employee. With this proactive approach, the team addresses issues as they arise, ensuring that business and farm owners stay in control.
Carrick Aland has cultivated a fourth generation of advisors and business owners with early and open communication being the key to building strong relationships. Technology remains one of the biggest challenges facing businesses today, and the firm works to identify each business’ goals to help implement timesaving technology solutions.
“A 70-year anniversary is a timely reminder of how important history and heritage are to our business,” Carrick Aland Managing Partner Wayne Turner added. “The values forged 70 years ago are still part of the fabric of who Carrick Aland is in 2023.”
Carrick Aland is looking forward to commemorating its 70th year in 2023 and plans various activities to mark the occasion. Keep an eye on Carrick Aland’s socials and this website for announcements.
