How we came to be Carrick Aland

Carrick Aland was formed in July 2011 from the merger of two of the Darling Downs’ oldest and most respected accounting firms, Carrick Ashmead and Aland & Co Accountants. Since 1953 we have assisted business owners and farming families to grow, manage and preserve their wealth and, with some clients, we are looking after their second and third generations.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide efficient, effective and timely services that actively assist our clients to grow and maintain their wealth to enable their desired lifestyle.

We aim to achieve our mission by investing time and funds into three key areas:

The Client

At Carrick Aland we are focused on offering a professional, yet personal service to all of our clients. We achieve this by taking the time to get to know clients and their businesses. Further, we are members of CPA Australia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the leading professional bodies in business, finance and accounting. Carrick Aland Wealth Planning is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia, the recognised professional association for financial planners.

Our Team

We ensure our staff possess a diverse range of skills and experience, which are applied to our clients’ circumstances in a personalised, confidential manner. We are committed to continuing education and training in order to provide relevant and up to date advice and assistance in all financial areas.

Technology & Systems

Carrick Aland invests significant amounts of time and money into developing, improving and maintaining computer infrastructure and key work practices. We aim to be as efficient as we possibly can, allowing us to deliver great results and outstanding customer service. In fact, we are a Beta testing firm for some of Australia’s leading providers of accounting software.

Our Clients

Being based in a rural area, the majority of our clients are primary producers ranging from grain and cotton growing, to dairy farming, livestock breeding and grazing as well as other farming activities. Carrick Aland also acts for clients who operate small to medium businesses in industries such as retail, manufacturing, construction and personal services.

Many of our clients’ families have had long standing relationships with Carrick Aland since the inception of the former entities, Carrick Ashmead and Aland & Co. In many cases we now deal with third generation clients, indicating the depth of the relationships that have been formed since our inception.
