More than 2,000 accountants and bookkeepers from New Zealand, Asia and Australia descended on Brisbane to attend Xero’s annual Xerocon conference last week.
The event is the largest accounting technology conference in Australia, with some attendees who flew in for the first time from New Zealand and Asia.
According to Xero, Brisbane was chosen to pay host as Queensland is a key target market for the company, with thousands of small business advisors using its cloud accounting software.
Queensland has 406,000 small businesses, representing more than 97% of businesses state-wide and employing approximately 43% of private sector workers in the state.
Trent Innes, Managing Director of Xero Australia said, “We’re pleased to have selected Brisbane as the location for our annual conference, Xerocon South.”
“Brisbane is a vital hub for small business in Australia and the take up of Xero in this market is testament to that.”
Xero add-on Figured was awarded the Industry Specific App Partner of the Year at the Xerocon South Awards 2016, and Carrick Aland is Figured’s #1 Accounting Partner in Australia!
Xero was recently recognised as Australia’s most loved accounting software by Canstar Blue for the second year in a row.
