WDRC will fund a 2-hour business recovery session for Western Downs business owners to help build business resilience and assist in COVID-19 recovery planning.
The program opened 8 May 2020 and closes 30 June 2021 unless funds are expended prior to this date. Business applicants will be able to select Carrick Aland as their preferred local professional service provider from the list on the online application form via the Business Recovery Planning Initiative via Smarty Grants from Friday 8 May 2020 at wdrc.smartygrants.com.au/BRPI.
WDRC will reimburse professional service providers up to $605 including GST for each business consult so business owners are supported at this critical time in their recovery.
Through Western Downs Regional Council (WDRC) funding, the program will grant access for business owners to business assistance and support services; cash flow planning and relief advice; implementing turnaround and growth strategies; risk management planning and business continuity planning.

“As the coronavirus impacts our country and our way of life, we’re not only helping farm and business owners to endure the COVID-19 crisis, we’re future planning with families and businesses to thrive beyond it.”
The COVID-19 crisis has resulted in hardship for businesses, both financially and operationally. Supporting local businesses with risk mitigation, business planning and recovery is vital to minimising the long-term effects of the crisis on the regional economy.
Eligible businesses will receive a one-on-one consultation session with their preferred professional service provider. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by email within 10 business days from the date of Council receiving a completed application.
